changed to a cost cutting design
"In addition to the standard two front side slant top pockets the original Explorer Shorts had two lower front pockets with zips and two rear pockets with zips giving ample storage - the Explorer 2 has just one pocket with a zip on the front and one rear pocket that does not have a zip. This is a very siginificant downgrade. The price remains the same. This made the original Explorers great and distictive from other shorts available. Now they are just like most other shorts and over priced."
