In 2009, at the age of 18, Craig Wood was serving in the British Army and lost both his legs and his left hand when he suffered extensive injuries from an IED blast in Afghanistan.
Finding salvation through sailing, Craig is currently attempting to become the first triple-amputee to sail 6,000 nautical miles across the Pacific Ocean, solo, on a 41-foot custom-built aluminium catamaran.
As Craig describes it himself -- “I lost my limbs and found my sea legs.” Craig’s mission now is to inspire others—whether by tying their first knot or finding purpose in life. Henri-Lloyd is proud to support Craig with clothing as he undertakes this epic journey.
Throughout this extraordinary journey through the Pacific Ocean, Craig relied on Henri-Lloyd performance kit - from head to toe. Gear engineered for endurance, precision, and protection in the planet’s harshest environments.
