Augustin Lejeau

Augustin Lejeau is part of a new generation of offshore sailors shaped by commitment and an instinctive connection to the sea. At just 17 years old, he is preparing for a solo Atlantic crossing from France to Martinique via Madeira, following years of preparation alongside his father and coach. Built through weekends offshore, long hours at sea and a disciplined approach to training, his project reflects a maturity and determination far beyond his years. Grounded in real offshore experience from a young age, Augustin represents an ambitious pursuit of progression through time spent on the water.

Goals

Augustin’s Atlantic crossing marks the beginning of a much longer journey. His ambition is to compete at the highest level of solo offshore racing, with the long-term goal of one day taking on the Vendée Globe and completing a solo circumnavigation at a young age. Alongside the crossing, a documentary film is currently in production, capturing the preparation, pressure and personal challenge behind the project. Through both sailing and storytelling, Augustin hopes to inspire a new generation to discover offshore sailing and show what can be achieved through discipline, endurance and a deep commitment to the ocean.
