Original Henri-Lloyd garments from the America's Cup, the Whitbread Round the World Race and the Volvo Ocean Race return from the brand's past, each carrying its own story.
Henri-Lloyd today launches Originals Vintage, a celebration of the people, races and designs that have shaped the brand since it was founded in 1963. The edit brings together original Henri-Lloyd garments from decades past, hand-picked from the brand's history and offered as single pieces. Every garment has been restored and cleaned, ready to be worn again.
Spanning 1987 to 2013, the 14 pieces in the launch edit (one of which has already sold) trace Henri-Lloyd's place at the heart of competitive sailing. Each one comes with its own unique story to tell, reflecting the pioneers, places and moments behind it.

The 1987 Henri-Lloyd Stars & Stripes Jacket reflects the brand's involvement in the America's Cup and its longstanding association with legendary American skipper Dennis Conner. Each product available comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Moments from the archive:
- 1987, America's Cup. The Stars & Stripes Team Dennis Conner Sailing Jacket celebrates Henri-Lloyd's association with Dennis Conner, in the team's signature colours with embroidered branding.
- 1987, the Consort RWR. Created by Italian designer Olmes Carretti and inspired by the Whitbread, the Consort RWR carried the spirit of offshore racing into everyday style and became one of Henri-Lloyd's most recognisable jackets. The edit includes a 1998 Ferrari Club edition and versions from 2012 and 2013.
- 1993, Whitbread Round the World Race. A navy Jib jacket carrying the embroidered emblem of the 1993–94 race, from a defining era of round-the-world racing.
- 2001, America's Cup Jubilee. Made for the Jubilee in Cowes, which marked 150 years of the world's oldest international sporting trophy.
- 2001, Volvo Ocean Race. A Jib jacket from the 2001–02 race, the first after the Whitbread became the Volvo Ocean Race, continuing Henri-Lloyd's long connection with offshore competition.
The campaign line captures the spirit of the edit: "Designed with purpose. Made to be worn. Shaped by the lives they've lived." These garments were built for the water, and they carry the history of the crews, races and designers who made Henri-Lloyd what it is today.

Vintage celebrates Pioneering products, remarkable people and iconic designs that have shaped the brand since 1963.
Chris Hammond, CEO of Henri-Lloyd, said: "Henri-Lloyd has been part of sailing's biggest moments for more than 60 years, and these pieces are the proof. Every single one has been somewhere: a start line, an ocean crossing, a dockside in Cowes. Vintage is our way of celebrating that history and the people who wrote it, and of handing a genuine piece of it to a new generation."
Henri-Lloyd’s Originals Vintage is available now at henrilloyd.com/collections/vintage. Pieces are ready to ship internationally. The first to sell was the 1997 Silk Cut Whitbread GORE-TEX Smock. As each one is one of a kind and is available only until it sells. More pieces will be carefully added over time, each with its own unique story to tell. Full details of every piece are in the notes to editors.
