Why does clothing develop odour?

Many people assume sweat is responsible for unpleasant odours, but sweat itself is naturally odourless. Odour develops when moisture combines with naturally occurring bacteria that multiply within the fabric during wear. As they grow, they create the unwanted smells that make clothing feel less fresh.

How Polygiene® works

Polygiene® uses silver salt technology that is integrated into the fabric during manufacturing. Rather than masking odours with fragrances or temporary finishes, it helps inhibit the growth of odour-causing bacteria before odours have the opportunity to develop.

Because the treatment is built into the fabric, it continues working throughout the life of the garment without affecting the look, feel, stretch or breathability of the fabric.
